About the Limeade Blast L130X

Until now, super high capacity battery packs were too bulky and heavy to be of much use. The Limeade Blast L130X packs a ton of power in a sleek and compact form and can easily slip into a backpack, purse, or pocket without weighing you down. Other external batteries on the market use standard 1A inputs. Limeade Blast features a 2A input meaning the L130X can be charged in as little as 8 hours. Because the Limeade Blast charges devices anywhere, anytime and won’t be drained after just a couple uses, it is the perfect portable external battery pack for a variety of situations.

Very nice back up Very nice built and nice weight for the amount of power it provides. The 3 things I would have changed with this unit..1. Include a better quality LED light, it was a nice idea but the execution of that part was not great. It just doesnt provide very much light, not looking for cree LED but something brighter would have been nicer and very possible without using more power.2. A higher quality cable would have also been nice, the included cable just feels like a cheap cable you get from a ebay china seller that sell for a dollar.3. Include a 2amp charger to charge the battery pack itself, i’m lucky to have lots of 2amp chargers around but I know most people have only the ones included with their phones which are usually .5 or 1 amp. If it’s taking too long to charge make sure you have a high quality 2amp charger.

Does Everything It’s Supposed To I’m impressed at the density of the batteries Limeade was able to source for these: Monoprice’s largest external battery pack is just 9000mAh, while the smallest Limeade is 13000mAh, and in a better form factor to boot. I’ve only had mine for a few weeks, but it has handled everything I’ve tried, and seems likely to continue on for a while. The charge LEDs are a bit hard to read if you’re not used to them reflecting internally, but once you use it the first time, it’s easy enough to gauge. The built-in flashlight is nice to have in a pinch, but not really a replacement for a proper flashlight if you need something really bright. The outer material itself is quite nice – it has a bit of a grip to keep from sliding everywhere, but it doesn’t add much thickness, either, which is great for something I’ll be carrying around frequently.Overall, I’m satisfied with my Limeade, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-capacity external USB battery.(Please note that I am likely to be compensated by Limeade with a free case for this review, but everything I’ve said above is exactly what I would say regardless of compensation.)

It was awesome for the 2 weeks it worked A great product and I used it extensively for the first two weeks I had it. I used it to charge my phone and Kindle fire but then it stopped taking a charge. Now when I plug it in all I get is 1 LED flashing no matter how long I leave it plugged in. A ton of potential, but it didn’t work out for me.
